What does the admission price include?
All advertised attractions, including the return steam train journey, canoeing lake, crazy golf, pedal cars, play areas, indoor play carriages and our other two miniature railways. The coin-operated rides are charged at an additional £1.
When are you open?
Selected winter weekends until we fully reopen Saturday 28 March 2020.
How often and when do the trains run?
During Winter Weekends, the steam train runs every 40 minutes starting at 10.40am. The journey time is 10 minutes. Additional trains run at peak periods. The two miniature railways run on separate timetables throughout the day.
Can I bring my dog(s) with me?
Yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. We charge £1 per dog and they are welcome on the Steam Railway, canoe boats, Newlyn Downs Branch Line and numerous nature walks. Assistance dogs are welcomed free of charge.
Do you apply any age restrictions?
Our pedal cars are for under 5’s only and the coin operated cars are recommended for ages 5 to 12 years.
Can I ride on all the trains as often as I would like?
Yes, we just ask that you are considerate to other visitors.
Are the mine buildings accessible?
Both the mine engine house and the chimney have no internal access.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, we have many outdoor picnic areas including our beautiful Picnic and Paddle area at the top of the valley, where you can bring your own food and enjoy paddling in the stream. Our Whistlestop Café at the park has an excellent snack and children’s menu, including Lappa Lunch Bags.
