Journalist, press, television, radio and media enquiries

Over the last fifty years, Lappa Valley has been pleased to host journalists and contributors from press, radio and television.

We are able to assist with media requests for a number of subjects, including:

  • Great days out with a difference for families.
  • Insight into the tourism industry in Cornwall (Keith Southwell, Lappa’s owner is the vice-chair of CATA, the Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions)
  • Miniature railway operations (Steam, Diesel and Electric).
  • The history of our site, including it’s past as both part of the original Newquay to Chacewater Branchline and the site of East Wheal Rose Mine – the site of Cornwall’s worst mining disaster in 1846.

Our location, combined with the three railways makes for some visually interesting content. We can also offer experienced and media-trained contributors with knowledge in a number of key areas.

Whatever you’re looking to achieve, we are able to accommodate most requests and happy to help give guidance to help you tell your story. We can also supply broadcast-quality video footage and photos from our library. Our location boasts excellent connectivity with our FTTP internet connection and space for vehicles.

If you’d like to chat more, please contact Matt Bunt, our Head of Marketing and Visitor Locations on 01872 510317 or email matt.bunt@lappavalley.co.uk.
