Zebedee
There’s something truly special about Zebedee, the much-loved flagship steam locomotive at Lappa Valley.
As the very first engine to run on the railway, she holds a place in the heart of generations of visitors, instantly recognisable by her distinctive “whoosh-pop” sound and cheerful whistle as she sets off from Benny Halt.
Designed by David Curwen and beautifully restored in recent years, Zebedee now steams proudly along the Main Railway once again, delighting families as she carries excited passengers through the Cornish countryside.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, there’s always a little extra magic when Zebedee is at the front of the train.
