All Aboard for a Father's Day Weekend to Remember!
Father’s Day is the 21st June, and if you’re looking for a way to spend proper time together as a family, we’d love to welcome you on board at Lappa Valley.
Whether Dad’s a big kid at heart, a railway enthusiast, or simply happiest when the family is all together, Lappa Valley is a wonderful place to make the day feel a little bit special.
From train rides and adventure golf to outdoor play, swan pedalos, indoor soft play and a relaxed bite to eat in The Engine Shed, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy at their own pace.
On Father’s Day itself, we’ll have steam locomotives working the Main Railway, carrying families from Benny Halt into our Secret World of Play and Trains.
We’ve also got a few extra Father’s Day treats and gift ideas to share, including something rather special for steam-loving dads – you’ll find more on those further down this email.
Pre-booking is highly recommended for Father’s Day weekend, especially as it’s always a popular one for family days out.

Our popular Train Driver Experiences are available as Gift Vouchers – delivered instantly by email and will give your Dad the opportunity to drive their very own Steam or Diesel Locomotive at Lappa Valley.
On Father’s Day itself, one of our Steam Locomotives Ellie will be operating on our Main Railway – and we’ll be offering the opportunity for Dad to ride up front with the driver!
Our Footplate Rides will be available on selected trains throughout the day for just an additional £20. This is a full round trip to East Wheal Rose and back.
These cannot be booked in advance, and are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ask the Ticket Office team for more details and availability when you arrive.
