What does the admission price include?
All advertised attractions, including the return steam train journey, canoeing lake, crazy golf, pedal cars, play areas, indoor play carriages and our other two miniature railways. The coin-operated cars are charged at an optional, additional £1.00.
When are you open?
We are open daily from Saturday 24 March. The Ticket Office opens at 10.00am.
How often and when do the trains run?
During Winter Weekends the steam train runs every 40 minutes starting at 10.40am. The journey time is 10 minutes. The two miniature railways run on separate complimentary timetables which are more frequent in busy periods.
Can I bring my dog(s) with me?
Yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. We charge £1.00 per dog and they are welcome on the Steam Railway, canoe boats, Newlyn Downs Branch Line and numerous nature walks we boast.
Do you apply any age restrictions?
Our pedal cars are for under 5’s only and the coin operated cars are recommended for ages 5 to 12 years.
Can I ride on all the trains as often as I would like?
Yes, we just ask that you are considerate to over visitors.
I see you have a leisure park reached by the steam train, can I reach the park by any other means?
No – a key part of the visit is the experience of the return steam train journey in and out of the leisure park.
Are the mine buildings accessible?
Both the mine engine house and the chimney have no internal access.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, we have many outdoor picnic areas but please note our Whistle Stop Café at the leisure park has an excellent snack and children's menu including Lappa Lunch Bags.
