What does the admission price include?
Everything except for the electric car ride at £1.00 per token. The steam train return journey, boating lake, crazy golf, pedal cars, play areas and our other two miniature railways are included.
Are you open every day?
Yes, during our season 19th March until 30th October 2016. We open at 10am. We are currently closed.
We will also be opening for selected winter weekends in 2016/17. See out timetable for full details.
How often and when do the trains run?
The steam train runs every 40 minutes starting at 10.30am. In busy times the steam trains will run roughly every 20 minutes. The steam journey time is 10 minutes.
The two miniature railways run on separate timetables which again are more frequent in busy periods.
Can I bring my dog(s) with me?
Yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. We charge £1.00 per dog and they are permitted on the steam train, boats and the second smallest train.
Do you apply any age restrictions?
The only age restrictions apply to the use of our pedal cars / go-karts (under 5’s only) and the electric cars (ages 5 to 12 only).
Can I ride on all the trains as often as I would like?
There is no limit to the number of rides for the two miniature trains, although we ask that after a ride you allow others that have been waiting to board before your next ride. You will automatically enjoy two rides on the steam train during your visit, once from the car park and again on your return journey from the leisure park.
I see you have a leisure park reached by the steam train, can I reach the park by any other means?
No – a key part of the visit is the experience of the return steam train trip.
Are the mine buildings accessible?
Both the mine engine house and the chimney are easily seen but there is no internal access. The mine engine house does have an internal viewing platform but the building is closed for the foreseeable future until funds can be raised for essential health and safety works.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, we have many outdoor picnic areas but please note our Whistle Stop Café at the leisure park has an excellent snack and children's menu including Lappa Lunch Bags at £4.50 each. Our kiosk provides take-away sandwiches along with hot and cold drinks.
Do you sell trains?
Yes, we now host the largest selection of 'Thomas the Tank Engine' stock in all of Cornwall, as well as a vast range of 'Hornby' items. A small selection can be viewed at our Ticket Office which is free to enter.
