'Get Out There' (GOT) is a Cornish based charity that supports children and young people with significant sight impairments and additional complex needs. The charity provides a range of fulfilling and exciting activities to each young person. These range from surfing, sailing, horse riding, train rides, theme parks and abseiling to more therapeutic activities such as hydrotherapy and craft workshops. Each young person is supported on a one to one basis by a highly trained dedicated volunteer.
Get Out There fully recognises that the families of each young person value the short break opportunity the group provides as their young person is cared for. Get Out There is supported through the national organisation 'Sense' which it describes Get Out There as delivering some outstanding work that enables young people to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to live life to the full.
